After many years where Americans were banned from visiting the island country of Cuba, the doors are slowly opening. First to land tour operators, and now to land/cruise operators. These journeys are totally legal and accepted by both the American and Cuban governments.
International Expeditions is proud to annouce that they will be the first cruise line that will sail the island country of Cuba beginning December 17, 2015, and continue with 3 other sailings in early 2016. Paving the way to the day when other cruise lines will be able to visit this Caribbean country closest to mainland U.S.A.
Your cruise will not be your ordinary cruise. The ship is a sleek and spacious motorized sailer with three masts, called the Panoramic, will accommodate up to 48 passengers in 24 cabins. International Expeditions ensures you of the highest quality of comfort for your Cuba voyage. A higher standard than what is currently available in land accommodations in Cuba. Currently available hotels or accommodations in Cuba compare to those rated a 3-star or lower to a comparable hotel in the U.S.A.
International Expeditions emphasis is in the experience. They strive to make your voyage as authentic, complete and rewarding as possible. You will see Cuba through the eyes of the people as you meet Cubans who are eager to share what makes their lives similar and different than ours. They'll do so through their music, art and interactions with you. You'll see the diversity of culture and the influences of the French and Spanish as you visit the various cities and regions of the island country.
The 10-day voyage begins and ends in Miami, Florida. You will enjoy a one night stay in Miami to prepare for your charter flight to Cuba the next morning where you will board your ship that will serve as your home away from home for the remainder of your stay in Cuba. At the end of the cruise, Day 10, you will be flown back to Miami where you will be able to board your connecting flights home.
Internation Expeditions has an expedition leader that is well-versed in the island's nature, history, politics and culture and will be available to guide you to experience nature and the people in a special and personalized light.
Cruise Planners, Linda Kolanko, had the privilege and opportunity to meet with the Business Development Manager, Kristin Day for International Expeditions, Quark Expeditions, and Zegrahm Expeditions. As well as the Director of Sales for Zeghram Expeditions, Lisa Bertini, today. It was a learning experience for Linda as she learned more about the marvels and possibilities available to those desiring an experience of lifetime and seeing parts of the world that have not been touched in centuries - ie: Northwest Passage, the Arctic, and more.
Linda learned that each company has unique experience-oriented offerings that can appeal to adventure seekers, those people wanting to visiting new and exciting destinations such as the Arctic, Antarctica, Northwest Passage, and other out of the way destinations. Those who are looking for a small group experience.
Each company caters to those who want to experience the land, people, and natural surroundings in a casual and flexible style to places worldwide. Their cruises are on intimate and small ships that can take you to places that the mainstream cruise lines cannot because of their size. The group experiences are small and intimate in size. Allowing for personal attention to the smallest detail.
