What's New
The Koningsdam, one of Holland's newest and largest ships, will begin sailing Summer 2020 to Alaska, roundtrip, from Vancouver, Canada.
Holland America wil be sailing Africa in the Fall of 2020.
Their newest ship, the Ryndam, a Pinnacle III Class ship, will be released for sailing in June 2021. Beginning with Europe and then sailing the Caribbean from Florida.
They will be returning to Istambul, Turkey, in 2021.
The Alaska Difference - They Are the "Real" Experts
Holland America says that unlike other cruise lines who claim to be the experts, they are the "real" experts. They have been sailing Alaska before it was even declared a state. They have been there for over 70 years.
Only cruise line that offers land tours to explore the Canadian Yukon (Dawson City and Whitehorse) in conjunction with a cruise.
They own and operate all their equipment and resorts in Alaska and the Yukon. Including buses. Allowing for flexibility when issues arise such as the fires in Denali last summer.
They have the largest domed train cars in Alaska for optimal scenic and wildlife viewing.
Everyone faces forward on the train and are seated on the second floor. The lower floor is the dining room.
Serve fresh salmon and seafood in their dining rooms. No lobster, it does not come from Alaska.

As a European-owned Dutch company they are granted propitiatory rights to places many contemporary or premium cruise lines have limited or no access to. IE: They are one of the few that have sailings going in and out of Venice.

Offer contracted airfare which can be substantially less and hassle free than published.
Caribbean
Cruise line that offers the most itineraries that include the ABC Islands (Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire). With late departures.
