Bored while at sea on a cruise?  Oh, no!  Should not be so.  If so, it’s your own fault because you didn’t want to participate or you selected the wrong ship or cruise line.

Carnival , and other lines, are doing more to help you enjoy your cruise vacation with more and new venues that may be of interest to you and those passengers that they are trying to attract.

Recently announced, Carnival Cruises is spending over $500 million dollars to make transformations that they believe you will enjoy.  These enhancements will be implemented across all its fleet by the end of 2015.  Some of these venues already exist on their newest ships, the Carnival Magic and Carnival Dream, but will be gradually implemented throughout the remainder of it ships.  New fun and exciting venues,  a variety of dining choices, and more..

The Punchliner Comedy Club:  Presented by George Lopez.  Comedy lovers will be rolling as renowned comedian and TV personality, George Lopez, teams up with Carnival to create comedy club shows that you will tickle your funny bones.  

Brunch will never be the same again when you join in on the new Punchliner Comedy Brunch.  During days at sea, there will be hourly performances with food and drink

EA Sports Bar:  The place to catch a game, grave a drink and keep up with what is happening in the sports world.  This venue will also offer hands-on video games that will enable you to challenge your new and old friends to the game on board the ship with you.

RedFrog Rum Bar – Poolside:   The RedFrog Pub has been so popular that Carnival decided it would be a good thing to offer other adult beverage favorites.  Here you will be given opportunity to taste test some of the world’s favorite rums and rum concoctions afloat.  Don’t worry, Carnival promises to have plenty of their private-label draught beer, Thirsty-Frog Red on hand for those beer lovers.

BlueIguana Tequila Bar:  O.K., you don’t want rum, but you would consider a Margarita, or other frozen tequila drink to help c-o-o-l you down after sitting in the hot sun or taking a tour.  Maybe you might prefer a Mexican beer?  Enjoy this lively Western Caribbean venue to brighten your day.

The Library Bar:  Sit back and read a book, a magazine, work a crossword puzzle, or play a board game with your friends as you sip your favorite wine or beverage.  Bartenders will be on hand to mix up your favorite concoction or you can select a glass of wine from the state-of-the-art self-serve wine dispensers.

Guy’s Burger Joint:    Carnival and Guy Fieri (Food Network personality and restaurateur) have teamed together to create a poolside, Lido Deck, complementary dining venue.  Here you will be able to order and enjoy a hand-crafted gourmet burger and fresh-cut fries.  Have it made Guy’s way, or create your own with at the topping bar.

Hasbro “The Game Show”:  Can you imagine playing a larger-than-life stage adaptation of your favorite board game?  The onboard Hasbro Game Shows have taken your favorite board games and combined them with other game favorites.  Team up with fellow passengers to win prizes as you play SORRY SLIDERS! YAHTZEE BOWLING, CONNECT 4 BASKETBALL, OPERATION SLAM DUNK, and SIMON FLASH.

DJ IRIE : Irie, is a celebrity DJ and official DJ to the Miami Heat, and is now the official DJ of Carnival Cruise Lines.  This DJ will be training Carnival’s DJs to sharpen their skills to encourage people to dance the night away with maximum bodyrocking.

BlueIguana Cantina:   A venue where you will be able to enjoy freshly made burritos and tacos day or night. Let’s not forget the homemade tortillas or chips and salsa. 

Alchemy Bar:    Cocktail “Pharmacy”.   This vintage-themed venue will feature prescriptions for fun with lab-coat-clad mixologists.    Select from one of many new and unique cocktails to suit your mood or ailment, or create your own concoction with a variety of ingredients.

Let’s not forget the kid’s clubs, poolside games, nighttime productions shows, and more.  You are in for a great time on a Carnival Cruise if you say yes to one or more of these upcoming enhancements.  Did you know that some of the venues mentioned already exist of the new Carnival Magic?
