Carnival Cruise News - November 12, 2019

Carnival has announced that it has changed their penalty and final payment schedules for all booking as of November 12, 2019. All final payments will be required earlier than in the past. Also, cancellations penalties and their schedule will be brought up to be earlier than in the past.
Please see the following changes effective immediately for all new bookings. Including cabins being added to groups.
Deposit Changes:
- 9 day itinerary sailings - from $400 to $250 per person
Final Payment Date/Cancellation Penalty changes:
- Penalty = Deposit
- 2-5 day itinerary sailings - from 60 to 75 days prior to sailing
- 6-8 day itinerary sailings - from 75 to 90 days prior to sailing
- Penalty = Deposit or 50% of Total Fare – whichever is greater
- 2-5 day itinerary sailings - from 45 to 55 days prior to sailing
Early Saver Final Payment Due and Penalty Schedule
- 2-5 day itinerary sailings final payments from 61 to 76 days prior to sailing
- 6-8 day itinerary sailings from 76 to 91 days prior to sailing
The Early Saver is comes with a lowest price guarantee, and does require a non-refundable deposit requirement, along with many other restrictions and limitations. If you need or elect to cancel prior to final payment, Carnival will retain your deposit, less a $50 per person admin fee, for a future cruise. After final Carnival will begin retaining the full deposit requirement and more. The closer to sailing it is the more they retain up to 100% of the fare.
