What is an Accredited Cruise Counsellor?

An Accredited Cruise Counsellor is a travel professional who has achieved certification from CLIA (Cruise Line International Association). 

How does one become an Accredited Cruise Counsellor?

A person must be a registered travel agent, with a registered travel agency with CLIA.  In addition to the registration, a person must take a number of specialized educational programs/seminars pertaining to the cruise industry, sell a minimum number of cruises over a period of 2 years, and must become familiar with a number of ships and cruise lines through ship inspections and actual sailing experience.
