Carnival Cruises, Disney Cruises, Regent Sevene Seas, and Viking Cruises all announced their latest suspension that include all sailings through to the end of June 2021.
VIKING CRUISES:
Viking announced earlier today, April 6, 2021, made the following statement in an email to all their Travel Partners with regard to the additional need for cruise suspensions.
"Travel restrictions and complications due to COVID-19 continue to make cruise ship travel complicated, especially itineraries that visit multiple countries. Additionally, the virus has delayed the construction of select ship building projects."
Affected sailings include all river and ocean cruises scheduled to depart June and July 2021. Also included are all 2021 Alaska Ocean Season , 2021 Russia and Ukraine River Season, also the inaugural sailing of the Viking Osirus and Viking Alton (Egypt).
Affected passengers can opt for either a 125% Future Cruise Credit or a Full Refund of all funds paid towards the cruise.
DISNEY CRUISES:
Disney emailed all the travel professional partners to advise of the latest round of suspensions/cancellations today, April 6, 2021.
All sailings scheduled to sail through to the end of June 30, 2021; including all Disney Magic sailings to Europe through to September 19, 2021.
Affected passengers can opt for either a 125% Future Cruise Credit or a Full Refund of all funds paid towards the cruise.
CARNIVAL CRUISES:
Carnival released the following statement to their email to professional travel partners and guests-
The information recently released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not provide the clarity we need to proceed. We are extending our pause through June 30, 2021 and cancelling all departures up to this date."
In addition, the following statement was made.
"JuJy 2021 Departures: While we wait for additional clarity on when we can resume sailing, final payment deadlines for all July 2021 sailings have been moved to May 31. Additionally, these guests still have the option to cancel without penalty until May 31.
July 2021 Alaska Departures: The industry continues its discussions with the Canadian government officials about returning to service in the summer, including the potential to operate our Alaska season. While we work at securing options for a return to guest operations, we are giving guests two choices so they can select what works better for them. "
REGENT SEVER SEAS CRUISES:
Regent Seven Seas sent an email announcing that they have decided to extend their cruise suspensions through to the end of July 2021.
The following statement provides affected guests with their options -
"For all active reservations, Regent will provide a 100% refund on the amounts paid as of April 6, 2021. Refunds will be processed automatically within 60 days and no action is required by you or your clients to request refunds..
On most affected sailings, we have identified comparable future itineraries whereby we will honor the price your clients have paid if rebooked by April 20, 2021.
OTHER CRUISE LINE SUSPENSIONS ARE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW
If the cruise line(s) that affect your reservations are not listed here, and have not already announced their suspensions going to the end of June or later, stay tuned. Other suspensions are expected.
NEW ITINERARY SAILINGS
Various cruise lines have created new itineraries for sailing in the summer of 2021 that they are prepared to sail provided the guests and crew are fully vaccinated. These are Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Crystal Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line.
These lines will be sailing the Caribbean from Caribbean islands or Europe (namely, the Greek Islands) and will be 7-nights in duration.
