In the ever increasing electronic age of technology and the internet, as well as an ever increasing awareness of our environment and global warming, more and more cruise lines as well as other travel providers are adopting the usage of e-documents and luggage tags. It had been a common practice that the customer would receive paper tickets and luggage tags from their travel agent or direct from the travel provider. These tickets from the cruise line or travel companies are quickly becoming a thing of the past.
One way that cruise lines feel that can help the environment in the "Eco-Green" movement is to limit the usage of paper. One way is for the passengers to print off their boarding passes or travel documents after they have pre-registered online. They will now also have the capability to print off luggage tags at home or wait until they arrive at the pier and the pier porter will be glad to assist them with shore tags.
Prior to printing off the boarding pass, documents that used to be included with the paper tickets that outline the terms and conditions of the tickets, policies, etc., will now be visible for the customer to read and acknowledge while online without the necessity of printing them off.
As a service and convenience to my customers who have limited access to computers or printers, or who do not feel comfortable filling out the necessary online forms, I will be glad to assist them in any way possible at no charge. Once the pre-registration has been completed and saved, I will be glad to print and mail the boarding pass as well as the electronic/digital luggage tags for them.
