More Resort and Hotel Brands Offer Complimentary COVID testing with stay
Published Wednesday, January 27th 2021In light of the recent announcement by the CDC requiring that all persons coming to the U.S. by air, regardless of citizenship, must be tested within 72 hours of entering the U.S. They must provide documented proof of the test and a negative result.
Some resort and hotel brands were quick to announce that they would include testing with a stay. Minimum stay requirements may be required. Some are even including an extended stay option in the event a guest does receive a positive test result and must quarantine in the country and place that they are at.
Resorts and hotels are realizing that they must provide the tests and the convenience of having those tests rendered on property. They have made the process simple, and test results are assured with a quick turn around. Usually around 24 hours.
Sandals Resorts was the first to step up, and the others have or are all including this with a guests stay. It allows a guest to travel with more confidence and assurances.
The list is getting to be extensive, along with the choices of resorts available to stay at in Mexico and the Caribbean. Keep in mind that each Caribbean island will have their own entry requirements. It is necessary that we all stay abreast of the current situation that does change., and that your travel plans can be disrupted as the COVID variant strains are having various countries institute and enforce new restrictions and limitations.
