It is a time of  optimism and disappointment.

The reserved optimism of things starting to look up and looking more positive for cruise lines to soon resume sailing is that the CDC has  not extended their "No Sail" order.  Instead they have issued a very strict "Conditional Sail Order" in its place.

The "Conditional Sail Order" contains very strict guidelines and requirements that must to be met by the cruise lines in order to commence and continue sailing.

In order to be in full compliance and to make sure that all safety protocols will meet with those strict standards, the various cruise lines have elected to suspend their sailing an additional month.  Creating disappointment for those scheduled to sail in December 2020.  All sailings are now being suspended through December 31, 2020.

The cruise lines will utilize this time to thoroughly train their staff and crew on our new health and safety protocols, while also conducting a number of trial sailings to stress-test these measures in real-world conditions. They  will continue to work closely with the CDC as they head towards the next step to solidify their action plans.

All fingers are pointing towards the commencement of limited sailings commencing in January 2021.  Details have yet to be released.

Are you ready to cruise?  Or, are you apprehensive given the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) numbers to travel at all.
