Norwegian Cruise Line Extends Sailing Suspensions
Published Wednesday, July 29th 2020 - Updated Wednesday, July 29th 2020Norwegian Cruise Line announced today that it has suspended all sailings scheduled to depart and sail through to October 31, 2020. Princess Cruises was among the first to suspend sailings through to December 15, 2020. It is expected that other cruise lines will follow, but have yet to make their official announcement.
Norwegian Cruise Line has also amended their Peace of Mind Policy regarding new and existing bookings. Those who have bookings on sailings scheduled to depart in 2020 can cancel until 48 hours prior to sailing without penalty. Those who book and are scheduled to sail up until October 31, 2021, can cancel up to 15 days prior to the scheduled sailing date without penalty.
Those affected by the recent suspensions and have paid in full will receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit on the Cruise Fare. Taxes and fees, and other purchases made through the cruise line will be refunded in time.
For those who do not wish to go with the 125% Future Cruise Credit, a refund request must be made no later than August 14, 2020. The required online form for the latest round of suspensions will become available for completion and submission on August 3, 2020.
