Royal Caribbean announces non-refundable deposits

It was announced by Royal Caribbean that they will begin implementing non-refundable deposits for reservations made for Grand Suites or Higher when booked on board a ship as a part of their Next Cruise promo.
Should the passenger for whom the reservation had been made need to cancel, the funds will be placed in a special account towards a future cruise. Royal Caribbean will charge a $100 per person administrative fee for this service.
All bookings made with travel agents, but not while sailing, the deposits will be refundable in the event of cancellation up to the day of final payment.
