Royal Caribbean increases gratuities as of April 14, 2016

Royal Caribbean has announced that gratuities on all booking will be increased. Please see following guidelines.
Should you have any reservations pending, and wish to be grandfathered in with the lower gratuity amount, please prepay your gratuities by April 10, 2016.
ROYAL CARIBBEAN INTERNATIONAL Gratuity Guidelines:
Royal Caribbean will add a daily automatic gratuity to every guest’s onboard SeaPass account. The automatic daily gratuity will be applied onboard for all individual and group bookings that have not prepaid gratuities prior to boarding their cruise. Prepaid guests will not be impacted by this automatic process and will not see additional charges on their folio.
The automatic daily gratuity amounts will be:
$12.95 USD per person/per day - for Standard Staterooms (JS and below)
$15.95 USD per person/per day - for Suite Staterooms (GS and above)
NEW! *Effective April 14, 2016 - new gratuity amounts will be:
$13.50 USD per person/per day - for Standard Staterooms (JS and below)
$16.50 USD per person/per day - for Suite Staterooms (GS and above)
*For sailings departing on or after May 1, 2016. Guests with prepaid gratuities allocated to booking as of April 10, 2016, will be grandfathered into the old rates.
The daily gratuity will be shared among Dining Services Staff, Stateroom Attendants and Other Housekeeping Services Personnel.
A 18% gratuity is automatically added to bar/beverages, mini bar items, spa & salon at time of purchase.
Guests who wish to reward exceptional service during their cruise are encourage to provide additional gratuities. Guests may add the gratuity on their SeaPass onboard account or with a cash gratuity at their discretion.
