Royal Caribbean increases recommended gratuities

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines has increased the amount that is recommened and will be charged to your stateroom for gratuities from $12 per person per day to $12.95 per person (passenger) per day for standard to balcony staterooms. It will be $15.95 per person per day for suite occupants. Increases will go into effect for all sailings departing on or after July 1, 2015.
This comes soon after Norwegian Cruise Line announced that they will be increasing theirs as well. It is believed that the other cruise lines will follow by increasing their recommendations/charges.
Gratuites are paid to those who service you as you cruise. The stateroom attendent and assistants, as well as the dining room waiter, assistant waiter and head waiter. These individuals work hard to serve you by providing you with a memorable travel experience.
