Star Clippers to Feature Renowned Gourmet Chefs and Wine Experts on New Culinary Themed Sailings in Summer 2013
MIAMI (Feb. 27, 2013) -- Star Clippers is introducing a series of culinary-themed voyages aboard its three tall ships -- Royal Clipper, Star Clipper and Star Flyer -- for summer 2013 featuring some of Europe's top gourmet chefs and sommeliers.
During select sailings from May 5 to Oct. 26, 2013, guests will have the opportunity to take part in complimentary cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and culinary lectures. Each theme will reflect the region in which the ship is sailing. While in the Mediterranean guests can learn about cooking with lemons, capers and olives, and those sailing in the Baltic region can learn how to prepare German tapas or a traditional Swedish smörgåsbord.
"Star Clippers is all about creating unforgettable experiences for our guests, both ashore and on board our ships," said Mark Carlson, director of marketing for Star Clippers Americas. "By offering enriching culinary lectures and classes from celebrated international chefs, we make our sailings even more memorable."
