The disappointment continues

Travel to Canada looks more bleak as times goes on, and specifically cruises. Canada extended their border closings to March 2021, and announced that they are not permitting cruise ships within their borders until March of 2022. This is causing many of the lines to cancel all cruises that leave or end in a Canadian city or more.
The CDC (Center for Disease Control) have not released their guidelines to the cruise lines as yet. The cruise lines are anxiously awaiting them so that they could be enforced and begin sailing again.
In response to this, the following suspensions have been announced, and more are expected to follow.
Holland America has elected to cancel all their cruises going to or from Canadian cities, including cruisetours.
Princess has elected to cancel select sailings and all cruisetours that require leaving from or ending in Canada. IE: Vancouver or Quebec City. Princess will be making announcements on land travel programs that include their privately owned lodges within Alaska.
Disney Cruise Line has announced that they will cancel all cruise departures scheduled to sail through to May 31, 2021, plus all Disney Magic sailings through to August 10, 2021.
Carnival Cruises has announced that they will be suspending all sailings scheduled to depart up until May 31, 2021.
Azamara Cruises will not be sailing until July 1, 2021.
Seaborne cancelled all Alaska and British Columbia 2021 sailings.
Clients are encouraged to consider rebooking for 2022, or consider taking a trip by land. A train vacation, vacation package that includes your transportation, accommodations and may include excursions, or a self-drive tour. All of which we can create specific to your desires and needs. However, keep in mind that Canada may be totally out of the question as the Canadian government continue to keep their borders closed without strict quarantine restrictions.
Do know that we at Cruise Planners are equally disappointed. Many of you have been looking forward to this. Most especially if you were among those who originally booked to travel in 2020 and rebooked for 2021 in hopes that all would return to normal.
Cruise Planners offers more than just cruises. We can book those hotels you are booking on those online sites because we ourselves offer them. You will be helping support a small business to survive under this current climate, and not risking anything on your part. Only gaining an advocate that by going to an online site you would lose.
Thank you to all who have entrusted us with your travel plans. We are always here for you, and look forward to hearing from you. Even when things do not go as planned.
Happy Travels and Better Days Ahead!
