The switch is on! The Port of Galveston is welcoming new ships to its port this weekend.
Today, Galveston welcomed the Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas to its port. The Mariner of the Seas will be offering a number of seasonal itineraries from the Port of Galveston to Western Caribbean destinations, averaging 7-night in duration. The Mariner of the Seas will be taking the place of the Voyager of the Seas who has been deployed to begin seasonal sailings from the Port of New Orleans.
Tomorrow, the Carnival Magic, will be arriving at the Port of Galveston. The Carnival Magic will be offering a variety of itineraries, averaging 7 nights in duration. The Carnival Magic is Carnival's newest ship to the fleet. Offering all the exciting bells and whistles that make Carnival the "Fun Ship" line.
The Carnival Magic will be taking the place of the Carnival Conquest who has sailed for years from Galveston, Texas year round. The Carnival Conquest will now be sailing from New Orleans.
The Carnival Triumph has been moved to Galveston from New Orleans for short duration cruises to the Western Caribbean. The Carnival Triumph is replacing the Carnival Ecstasy which has been moved to Florida. The Carnival Triumph is a newer, larger ship than the Ecstasy.
The Carnival Elation is now sailing out of New Orleans for short duration cruises from that port.
