Providing you with Viking claims, "Will be a River Cruise experience unlike that which you ever experienced before".

There will be a 8 to 15 day sailings on a brand new ship built especially for the Mississippi, called the Viking Mississippi.    The ship will accommodate fewer passengers than those of their river cruise family abroad.  Encompassing up to 10 States, and featuring up to 15 of the most iconic cities and towns along the banks of the river.  15-day sailing  with take you to or from New Orleans, Louisiana, and St. Paul, Minnesota.  The sailing itinerary vary according to the season.  For example, the 15-day sailing will sail from Mid-June through to October.  Believe it or not, several of the October sailings are about to or are sold out!

With every destination to which they stop, included excursions.  Which may include a visit to John Deere attractions , Anheuser Busch, Restaurant 1818 with lunch, and more.  

The ship, called the "Viking Mississippi"with have a modern Scandinavian design.  Will have the look and feel of an ocean-like vessel.  Include a plunge pool at the back of the ship.   A selection of stateroom categories from Standard to Suite. Will feature a domestic seafood buffet, called the River Cafe.  Here you will be able to enjoy scrumptious shrimp and crawfish dishes and more.  Cooking classes will be held on how to prepare some of your favorite regional dishes.  There will be entertainment every night featuring the sounds and music of the Mississippi. 

The Aquavit Terrace will have two levels instead of the standard found on other Viking river cruise ships.  

You can casually enjoy the fine dining experience and top notch service and attention of Swiss trained waitstaff in the main dining room.  The dining room will feature regional cuisine from the lower Mississippi.  No set dining table.   Dine when you want to, and with whom you desire.   Beer, wine and soda pop with lunch and dinner.   

For those with disabilities.  This ship will have specially designed ADA accessible staterooms in the French balcony category.   Only one will be available in the Suite category.
