We have skiing, snowboarding and now snow biking for winter adventure. 

 

Is snow biking for real?  Yes. It is.  It is the newest sport, and is available on the slopes of the Big White Resort near Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.  Kelowna is located approximately 6 hours east of Vancouver, in the Okanogan Valley of British Columbia.

 

What is a snow bike?  It is a hybrid bike that is a cross between a mountain bike and a snowmobile.  It is modified to adapt to the snow.  Instead of a rubber wheel in front, you have a ski.  In the back you have a rubber track for stability and traction.

 

How do I get there?  One can fly to either Penticton or Kelowna, British Columbia and then drive to the resort.  Resort shuttles may be available from the airport.
