Celebrity Cruises Announces Changes On Board Their Two Newest Ships: The Silhouette and The Reflection.
The Reflection will be slightly larger than the other "Solstice Class" ships that are currently available: Solstice, Eclipse, and Equinox. The Silhouette will remain the same size.
Changes affect the Lawn Club, Michael's Club and Team Earth
Lawn Club:
Tthe Corning Museum of Glass and related Glass Works show will no longer be available. In place of the Corning venues will be new restaurants - The Porch and The Lawn Club Grill, and the new Art Studio.
The Porch: will be a complimentary dining venue that can serve as an alternative to the Oceanview Cafe. Giving an outdoor feel with a lawn view. It will be covered, and offer comfortable seating. This venue will be open for breakfast and lunch. Coffee, beer and wine will be available.
The Lawn Club Grill: (Specialty Dining). Fee required. Covered, interactive area with an outdoor, backyard feel. Select your meat and grill it with the chef, or they will do it for you. This venue will be an industry 1st. A great venue to socialize. This area will be home to cooking classes and demonstations by Celebrity chefs and guests.
Art Studio: A covered, interactive venue featuring the "Art of Celebrity" with an outdoor feel. Featuring small group, hands-on interactive instructions with experts. Great for art enthusiasts. Offering classes and demonstrations. A gathering place to meet experts.
The Alcoves: Cabana retreats that can occupy two to four people. Filtered sunlight during the day, and special lighting at night. It will offer an a la carte food and beverage menu. WIFI. Fee is required.
Michael's Club:
Currently an upscale, social and relaxing venue featuring spirits and wines. On the new ships there will be an emphasis on beers and malts. It will be a venue to watch soccer matches during the day, and a place to enjoy live entertainment and relax at night.
New classes will be available for those who have an interest in beers and malts from around the world. Classes will include how to pour the perfect glass of draft beer, what is the proper beer glass to use, and the opportunity to taste the six distinct beer styles from around the world.
50 different international beer selections will be available to select from. Including whiskeys, scotches, and other spirits. Homemade snacks will also be available.
Team Earth:
Team Earth will be replaced by "The Hideaway". The Hideaway will be a retreat to relax and get away from the rest of what is going on on the ship. It can be a place to sit and read and listen to music, or simply a place with private seating to sit back and relax. This venue will have a unique treehouse-like atmosphere.
Celebrity Reflection:
This new ship will be slightly larger in size. Making room for additional staterooms, seating in the theatre, pool area, and dining venues. A new addition will be a new category of stateroom. They will be the Aqua Class Suite. Similar to the current Aqua Class staterooms available on the current ships, it will offer larger staterooms with easy access to the spa and dining in Blu.
QSine:
The latest addition to the Solstice Class ships, and is not currently available on the Solstice, is this extrordinary dining venue. This specialty restaurant allows you to take and experience a culinary tour of foods from around the world with a guide. Your menu will be presented to you on an IPad. It is fun and different. Food is not served on plates. You will have an opportunity to decorate your own cupcake.
