It's interesting as I observe the perspective from both sides of the coin.  The consumer versus using a travel advisor.  I live and work in both worlds.

As the Travel Advisor:

- We offer very prompt and attentive personalized service.  We care about our clients and their vacations as if it were our own.   We won't settle for less.  Will you?

- We help set expectations.   Both positive and negative.  This helps prevent disappointment in whatever the your decision is.  You can confidently know that you got what they paid for based on your personal needs and preferences. Plus the added confidence that you have someone working on your behalf.

- How do you value your vacation?  Is it only price, or is it what you get along with the price?  Do you value insight and expertise gained from firsthand experiences and extensive training that a well-traveled and knowledgeable travel professional can provide?

As The Consumer:

- We all want the best price.  It's easy to press the button to book.  What happens afterwards when you have questions or need assistance?  Am I okay with being left on my own to book everything together to make that vacation happen?  Am I going to get what I thought I booked and paid for, or will I be disappointed because of misleading pictures or descriptions?

- We all want the most value for the price.  Is that lower price really going to give me what you are looking for in terms of the experience I desire?  What are the possible compromises?   Should I to settle for less?  What if something happens and I need assistance or have questions?

- We all want and need immediate attention when we have questions or need assistance.  Especially when things don't go according to plan or there is a crisis in our world that may affect our travels.  Am I you going to get the attention and service from the place I booked when you need it most?  Will the site I booked through help me get your money back when possible?

- We think we can Google and find out what we need.  Especially now with AI I feel more enabled and confident that the information is accurate and gives you the tools you need to book on my own.   Is that information accurate?  Am I in for unnecessary surprises and further disappointment?
